No its not mandatory to fix the amount, i didnt do mine, its just that if you fixed it for next 6 months or so visa officer will know that this money will be in the account for next 6 months and will not have any doubts if money is yours or not.

I would say send a case specific enquiry as its almost 3 months now, i know buffalo is very busy office but i dont think they take 3 months for that. Better send case enquiry with your file number asking if they have received it or not.

Thanks Saki....last time I sent a case specific enquiry but without looking at my case, they just replied that cases might take upto 30 weeks. I have no idea whether my application has been received or no....The courier update says it has been delivered but no status change from VO.

All you can is just wait like others, if courier as confirmed it that they have delivered so it must be delivered there is no chance that it get lost or something. Just wait and hopefully you will hear from them soon.

HI i am new to this forum. I sent my Initial application on April 28, 2010.
Got First AOR in June 28,2010
I submitted all my documents on SEP 20, 2010 under NOC 0111. My processing office is LONDON

Anyone know how the employment verification is done by VO?

Will they be calling the employer directly? Or done through some 3rd party agent.

I know few HR won't provide detail information some even don't provide any info at all.

Appreciate if someone update on the same.

1- VO can contact you & your supervisor (if you have given a business card)
2- they can contact at numbers/email given on buiness cards or letterheads.
3- very rare chances of a visit.

Yesterday 15-Oct-2010 I sent my Full Application with all supporting docs to London-V/0 through Fedex. INSHALLAH they will receive it safely and I will get 2nd AOR soon.
