Sorry to hear about your application .... did CIO charge your CC or encashed your DD?

Hi Ambitious,

This is just my understanding....the CC/DD was not charged. If you check the other applicants (returned applications) on our list, the CC/DD was not charged too.
But I believe I did see a post from Saki wherein he mentioned that applications were returned despite charging CC/DD in the form of a check.

Hello All,

Be positive and dont get panic.... Hope all of us will get good news very soon. As you know April was the month were most number of applications were filed, due to news came at that time regarding the "change of rules" and also last week they had 3 days holiday due to Canada Day.

Hope for the best to happen.

Hi,

I'm on day 81 (now over the recommended 10 weeks grrr). I just managed to get through to the CIC and they told me they have until 7 September which is 145 days, if i don't hear anything by then to call back.......seriously i'm not sure if I can take the wait. Myself and my family are here on a 2 year work visa due to expire on 5 December. If the reply is positive on 7 September then so have to do another temp anyway so there is another chunk of cash gone, if not, got 3 months to sell everything and start over. I don't think being here and contributing to the country makes it any easier than staying put and waiting for a green light (not that it was planned that way anyway). I love being here and the uncertainty of not knowing is frustrating and upsetting and so many other things. Why, oh why is it so difficult? I never thought it would be this agonising.

Good luck to everybody else playing this waiting game, hope you are bearing up well.

Its a sad news, but don't loose heart.

Could you please let us know what is written on the letter. As it is very strange reason they gave you. As we had very limited space of just 4,5 lines (very small boxes) what else we can do to explain the job duties if there is no space :-[ :-[

Ok,good-ish news ;D .....status update.....they have cashed the bank draft on 23 June...surely that should be a little good news...either that or they are going to take the money and run!!! :-[

Hi Saki,

i have one question regarding POF. I have got a bank certificate stating my current balance, however due to owning a credit card the bank has mentiond " the customer has got liabilities towards the bank"

will this cause any issue.

Hi everyone,

I just called CIC and spoke to a guy. He checked for my client ID but it is not on the system yet. He stated that they are just opening envelopes for applications received on April 15 now so it will be a few weeks before anyone after this will hear. I posted mine on April 13 (guessing 7-10 days to arrive means 21-23 April) He said not to even think about calling back for two weeks as unlikely to have even opened application before then. Hope this helps other people who are also stressing!

Hopefully you will receive a positive reply soon. I am in a similar situation as yours. What are your plans after Dec 5th? Has your company already applied for extending your stay by processing LMO or will you be applying for extension of your stay? Please do let me know.
