BREAKING NEWS - Canadian Government Slashes Backlog....

Full Story - http://www.cicnews.com/2012/03/canadian-government-slashes-backlog-031472.html

I have no words to express our solidarity towards all the pre-27/Feb/2008 applicants who have been eagerly waiting since years for a +ve outcome. The kind of agony they go through on hearing this news and the devastating effect it has on their future dreams and plans can only be felt but not expressed. In spite of such a long wait, all the hopes to see a +ve result in the end has been dashed with a single stroke by the learned minister. This is gross injustice by the Canadian govt. Total negligence on their part in accepting lakhs and lakhs of applications more than required and then putting everyone in a dilemma.

My sincere wish for all the effected applicants that God be with them in these bad times and help them in overcoming this situation +vely by opening up new and alternative avenues.

Regards,
-RSK.

We did our medicals on 16 March and they are submitted direct from the doctor/hospital, our letter stated they didn't require any further documents. We haven't heard anything yet but it has been only 2 weeks which in the grand scale of it all is nothing!! Patience, they say is a virtue......with that in mind, I must be practically angelic!!

Hi guys,

i wanna ask about my case ,i checked my e status and i found Decision made with no medical request or any update

Are you sure it didnt reach IN PROCESS with a date of processing before today?
may be it reached IN PROCESS with a date but you didnt check your Ecas then.

if it reached that stage then its most likely a rejection.
better order CAIPS notes to know what happened to your file coz Ecas is not always reliable.

Congrats Tukku78 & Glowingheart for getting MR. Wish you a faster & smooth further process. I wish you get your passports with maple leaf soon.

CIC has released quarterly data till 31st Dec 2011,
The over all skilled worker inventory is around 160,000 up from 144,000 (excluding pre 2008 applications)

However the annual target for FSW is only 61,000

Talking specifically about NDVO
The inventory levels are as follows :

M1: 18658
M2: 5093
M3: 1963

Total :25714

Last year NDVO has issued about 8122 visas in Skilled worker category
This year it may be up to 9000 ,

But the inventory levels are so high, it may take around 3 years to complete
that is only ifff CIC stops accepting new applications from july 2012,

Many of forum members may perceive my post negative but all this is all based upon facts and figures provided by CIC only ,

I am just wanting to portray the realistic picture to all , we have all seen the fate of pre-2008 people who were all riding on the hopes of positivism for last 8 years but we all know what happened to them .

To be very frank, if CIC doesn't stop in-taking of applications from July 2012 and takes special measures to address these 160000 applications ,
our Canadian hopes will be in dark only.

I wish the Canadian government should seriously look after our concerns and we all get maple leaf very soon

Good luck to all

Good information SMD.

NDVO has started processing pre-june applications from Mid Jan-12, and many of us have already got In Process status. Do you think VO will not issues visas to us in 2012?

iff CIC stops accepting new applications from july 2012, then definitely the persons having 2nd AOR in July, august and may be sep will get visa by 2012

Hi guys,

i wanna ask about my case ,i checked my e status and i found Decision made with no medical request or any update,it has been changed to in process with RBVO inside last may and there is no specific date...is it normal or I should worry.? Any body has the same? Please reply me.

@smd,
Notwithstanding the fact u have worked hard to analyse the present situation by posting the data derived from the CIC website.I RECKON,it is not always necessary that happening in the past should have identical result even now.It is not good to keep doubting the integrity of the Canadian Govt, considering the sweeping policy changes that may come into effect soon.Yes,it is sad that pre-2008 applicants have been subjected to the unfortunate situation.

Now,let us hope that our voyage is heading towards the shore of CANADA,OUR DESTINED POINT.The coming weeks/months would witness our resurgent hopes turning into reality .
Let us wish nd pray for each other.
Good luck nd May God bless all !!!!

Hi,

I believe what NDVO is saying is true about the pre June applications in there replies that the processing will start in 2012 but finalisation may occur in 2013. It's visible on the forum as well people went into in process as early as in Jan2012 are still waiting for MR whereas other visa offices like buffalo and london are issuing the MR to pre June . I believe NDVO has one of the largest inventories of MI applications and it will take 1-2 years to finish it.
