I have one question which is very silly and have no logic i know but though to check .

My cousin's consultant told her that you MUST send your initial application to CIO in an envelope of size as mentioned on their guide.

But when I was sending my application, i put all my forms and papers in a FedEx envelope itself and thats it. Is there any issue in this? I dont know why consultants are giving such information.

Hi Navali,

Actually, on CIC website there is a specification for envelope size...I had read this pre 26th Jun. But if your FEDEX envelope is of the same size then need'nt worry. I would not worry too much about the size of envelope. Should not be a cause of rejection.

Maybe, I am not sure. How long ago did you apply for it? There was a thread that was being maintained for FBI timelines and as I can remember everyone got the report after the cc was charged. Couple of ppl from this thread also got FBI cert...PM manoj or cancer24.

That's correct, Mitali.

Although I cannot guarantee 100%, most of the people got FBI Cert once CC has been charged. I applied twice and it happened both times (was worried that my first set of fingerprint may get rejected and I will miss 120 days deadline).

Navali, you should expect cert in less than two weeks from the date of CC charged. And now you can call FBI to know status as well. They did tell me when the cert was going to be dispatched from their end.
