Hello Everyone,
Just got into this forum, and I have seen so many useful posts from all of you.
Now I would need some help with what would be the CRS for my wife (principal applicant) and myself (spouse)
Keep in mind that I've used some of the tools for this and they show 354, 360, 358.. So here is our information:
Wife.
Age 31
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
5 years of experience in Oil and Gas
ECA in progress through WES
IELTS to be taken on April 30th (let's say CBL7, but we are aiming for CBL9)

Me.
Age 42
Bachelor in Mechanics Engineering
15 years of experience in Oil and Gas
ECA in progress through WES
IELTS to be taken next month (let's say CBL7 as well)

Anyone can check what would be our CRS (roughly) according to the information provided

Thanks in advance..

Please use this http://www.ruichenlaw.com/eecalc or the one on the CIC website to calculate the Score. But you'll need the exact section by section IELTS scores & WES Equivalency report for both.

This is the CIC calculator http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp. Based on the information that you have provided, the score is 324.

In the case that our CRS is 324 (roughly), is there any way to increase it? Besides getting CBL9 in IELTS

Appreciate your feedback

-Provincial nomination: Difficult these days as no province is nominating.
-Getting a job with LMIA: Almost impossible from outside of Canada.
-Doing a post graduate degree: This will take one to two years and will add just little to your CRS. Not enough to fetch you an ITA.
-CLB 9 in IELTS: This is the easiest and quickest way to increase CRS. With this, her CRS will be above 400 and might even hit 450 if she can get CLB 10 in some of the parts.

Trust me, it isn't that difficult to get CLB 9. She should just study very well. Learn the tricks and tips. Wrote mine this month and scored L8.5, R8.5, W7 and S7 which gave me CRS of 467. Though I've a professional degree.

Not even Ontario is giving nominations? Saskatchewan? (I've heard this is the easy one to get an invitation)
What about if I get CBL9? Or even 8? Combining both results would it give us some points?

Ontario has stopped sending notifications for awhile now and even if they are, you must have a score of atleast 400.

Saskatchewan as stopped too.

You will need to get CLB 9 in all parts to get a reasonable score. If any one falls short of CLB 9, you will get less than 400.

The spouse should also do WES evaluation and sit for IELTS too, so as to add more marks. Just do everything you can to get to 450.

Yes, that's what I thought

My wife as a PA and me as a spouse, both of us with ECA from WES and IELTS CBL9 (hopefully).. is it possible to get 400+ CRS, am I right?

Thanks for the feedback!

Very correct!

Might even get you to 450. Go on the CRS calculator tool posted earlier on and play around with estimated scores, so you know exactly what scores you need.

Goodluck.

With anything below 400 - NSNP, QSWP, SINP.

Between 400-450 - OINP.

Actually, all of the PNPs are kind of in suspended mode, but it does not mean you can not get ready and prepare.

I would suggest focusing on 1 PNP and make sure you 'get in'.
