Hello! Just got my application for study permit approved and my PPR letter has been sent.
My concern is that my passport is expiring a few months before my program finish (Expiring Apr 2022, program ends Aug 2022).

Will this be a cause for issue/rejection? I was planning to renew my passport in Canada and extend my study permit once i get my new passport.

They will simply issue your TRV and SP to match your passport's expiry. You can then do as you mentioned once in Canada.

Appreciate the quick response! Was worried as it said in the PPR that my passport should be valid for the duration of my stay.

If they're going to refuse your application due to passport expiry, then they wouldn't waste time in reviewing other things and issuing PPR hahaha. I'm also in the same situation, my passport will expire a year before my course end date.

True, I think I saw your post in another thread. Congrats on your permit approval!
