Has anyone done their medical at any of the CIC approved panel physicians located in the United States over the past 12 months?

My husband received his request for medical yesterday evening, which of course means I won't be able to start calling around to research cost & scheduling availability until Monday. I'm thinking I may create a spreadsheet so others can use it as a reference point. So, if anyone has any helpful info on the topic, please let me know!

Our closest options are Germantown TN and Houston TX, as we are in New Orleans LA. I also haven't ruled out flying instead of driving if another location provides us with a cheaper option for the medical plus a fun weekend mini-vacation destination.

Last November, Scottsdale, AZ, Cost is $550, plus fee for X-Ray, I believe the total cost is around $700 for me.

Thanks! The range on these so far is amazing. I found the BYU clinic prices on their website, which is $399 for hubby's age group. The physician in Denver also has prices on their website, and they charge $500. Someone on here recently booked theirs in St Louis and was quoted $370.

To be honest I was only expecting a small variation, but this is turning into a fun little project.

That clinic in Scottsdale is the only CIC approved panel physician in the whole State of Arizona, that is why he can charge a high premium.

We are going with Houston, as that doesn't require a flight (5-6hr drive) and was quoted $395. I managed to get info on about 1/2 of the US physicians, but will keep working on it to get a complete set of data for future applicants. Prices currently range anywhere from $225+X-Ray in a Detroit suburb and $370 all-in in St Louis up to $700+ in some locations.

Miami was the most interesting... one is $300 and one is $700, and not very far away from each other.

Are you a US Citizen or have Canada Visitor Visa? I will recommend flying to Canada, as it will cost the same to fly there. But the medical exam costs in Canada are way way lower. I paid 240 CAD per person, appointments were super easy to get and they even do these on weekends.

We are both US Citizens living in the US (I'm a dual US-Canada citizen, sponsoring the husband). The most inexpensive flight to anywhere near the US/Canada border was $350pp, and then we would have to rent a car on top of that, and pay for the medical exam. Flights to Toronto are even more expensive, being international and all.
I researched just about every possible scenario, but paying $100ish in gas and $395 USD for the exam was the least complicated and least expensive option for us in New Orleans.
Obviously that would vary from person to person, especially anyone who has a direct flight option to Syracuse NY, Buffalo NY, etc.
