Approved Online Visitor Visa: Passport Return Times

Obviously, there are a lot of ungrateful folks here - who do not bother to come back and let others know when their passport was returned after stamping. They of course do not mind getting help and information from others while waiting for their passports to be returned.

I applied online within Canada on Oct 8 2017 and sent my passport to the Ottawa processing center on Oct 19:

Passport Sent Date: Oct 19
Courier Passport Delivered Date: Oct 20
Return Tracker Activated Date: Not yet
Passport and COPR delivered: Not yet

I have a flight to Mexico booked for Nov 12th which is a Sunday, so if CIC does not send my passport on or before Thursday, Nov 9th, I'm screwed!

Do you guys think it will help if I submit a request via the IRCC web form? It will be exactly 3 weeks on Nov 10th, and going by some (very few) posts here, it does look very tight to me. Again, I am in Canada right now and applied online for renewing, or if you want me to be more technical, a new visitor visa.

Has anyone applying within Canada mailed/couriered their passport after October 15th to the Ottawa office and had it returned to them after stamping? If yes, can you please let us know when you got it back? Thanks.

Passports delivered to NY VAC on Oct 27th for Visitors Visa, anyone around the same time frame have any update.

Passport was delivered on Oct 30th. Received a tracking ID number to check the status on the passport and the latest update is: Passport Received by the Visa Office - Under Consideration

Thank you for the response I got the tacking on Monday the 30th and I see the same status as of now.
I have a plan to travel over next weekend hope I get back the passports by then

It's the last step before they return it to the VAC to send it to you. If you included a 1-2 day prepaid return envelope I think you should be good!

I am in Canada currently and applied for Visitor Visa through paper application. Sent my passport and application to Ottawa CPC on 25th October and it was delivered on 26th October. How will i get the tracking ID? I have travel plans on November 27th.

I am from US I have sent passport to VAC NY, for us we have CSRA consular service in between who handles requests for VAC they will send us the tracking information once they receive the passport and thats how I got mine

I received an update today:

Document: Counterfoil. Status: Your document is valid. Expiry Date: 2020/09/26. Status Updated Date: 2017/11/03

I am still not able to track via Canada Post .

How long do you guys figure before they actually mail my passport back to me?
