Subject: After Visa Approval - To get visa stamped on passport by self from CPP-Ottawa instead mailing ?

Hello Every one,

I applied TRV based on my PGWP on 26th June 2015 ( with in Canada ) ,
That time their website said 19 Days processing time.
Now its been 20 Days, no update on my application still.

Need to know, if i get a visa approval , can i go my self to the CPP-Ottawa office to
get the VISA Stamp on Passport myself instead mailing it to CPP-Ottawa & they mail me back ?

This will save me a week time, as i need to travel by next week.

hello..newbie lang po.. I'm planning to visit my bf in canada. sya po mag invite sa akin. I'm currently working as nurse here in philippines and worked for 1 year in japan. i have credit card and bank account ONLY.

Is someone give me an idea if i can get visa approval? is it okay if we tell to consulate that the invitation letter comes from my boyfriend? or should I use FRIEND? if i have friend in canada and he/she invite me to go canada. do I need a proof of relationship to that FRIENd? like photos?

I applied online on Sept-6th and I still dont have any update on my case. I am staying near new york but do not know which office is processing my application.

I have received 3 emails indicating 'my application has been updated' but when i login there seems no change in the status. No passport request yet..

Anyone has any estimates when i could get the passport request ?

Hope you are well. I am sailing in the same boat and I submitted my application online on Sept 8, 2015 and I am currently in US. And I didn't see any updates on my application either. Just waiting with fingers crossed. However, when I asked my friend who went thru this pain, seems like CIC won't update the status of applications so frequently but chances are they might be processing and we will receive only one final update. Hope we will hear soon. Good Luck!! And do please let me know if you hear something and I will do even.

My daughter applied for a visitors visa on 23 August from US but until today no request received to submit her passport. Anyone facing the same situation? While we, m husband and I applied for the same from Kuwait and we received a request to submit our passports within 3 days. Appreciate any feedback.

I am waiting too and I applied withing US... some folks have received updates within 15days and for me its been 23 days and no update still.. just few dummy updates saying 'application has been updated' ....

folks anyone who had to wait this long can you let us know when did you finally received the decision ?

Hi ,
I applied online for Visitor visa for my mom ( Indian passport ) who is currently in US on B2. I submitted the application on Oct 21st, received the updated status email triggers twice with no changes in the portal. Finally on Nov 5th, I got a note to submit passport. I sent the passport and I see it as delivered on 16th Nov but havent gotten any update as of now. I guess it usually takes few days and its just been 2 days in my case. I thought I will share for people who are on the same boat.

I applied on Oct 25 online from New York. It's been over 3 weeks, still no passport request.. most people that I know got the visa within about 2 weeks..

Any one with similar experience?

Applied online in US for US non immigration resident(Indian citizen).

Nov 7 2015: Applied on
Nov 8 2015: Update mail(nothing was updated on the application)
Nov 9 2015: Update mail(nothing was updated on the application)
Nov 16 2015: Sent additional docs because there was a change. In IMM5257, i mentioned the purpose of visit- H4 stamping. Later i received I-20, so i send them F1 visa appointment booking confirmation and told them about the change.
Nov 19 2015: Update mail, asking to send passport for further processing.
Nov 19 2015: Passport send(LA VAC).

WHAT DOES THIS MESSAGE MEAN? AND THERE'S NO UPDATE IN CIC.. FUNNY
