Approved Online Visitor Visa: Passport Return Times

Hey!
Does anyone know if it's possible to just go to the office (NYC) and get your visa after being approved? This whole mailing thing seems to take so long and I dont live far from NYC so it would be easier for me to just go there.

Apply online visitor visa application on 31 July 2013 for my husband and son. But there is no response from singapore visa office yet. So worry-_-#

Can anyone please provide me the address where Passports need to be sent for stamping of TRV in New York.. I used the address 1350 6th Ave which is the addreess of VAC in NY and different from Original consulate which is located on 1251 6th ave..... VAC rejected to accept my package so I am in a confusion ... Please can somebody guide me here.....

1. Is it not possible to directly visit the consulate with the passport and get the VISA stamped right away once the VISA is approved?

how much do they generally take to return the passport once they have asked us to send them to islamabad?

My passport was received by LA Canadian Consulate on 12th August in reply to passport request of 17 July with in 30 days.still waiting for passport return.When I can expect my passport back during present strike period.will anybody help me due to his experience.
Thanks God tracking shows it has been handed over to postal authorities.Hope to receive our passports tomorrow.

Don't need to use VAC services (though choice is yours) you can directly send your pp to the above address.....all the best!

Application Submitted online: 20-August
Application approved and request to send passport: 07-Sep
passport sent to LA :08-Sep
passport received @home:16-Sep

Hi,
Timeline for Canada visitor visa for my case are as follows,
09/05/2013 - Applied for Canada Visa on 09/05/2013 (Online)
09/20/2013 - Received email update to submit passport from Canada embassy
09/21/2013 - Submitted passports through USPS
09/23/2913 - Canada Embassy received passports
09/27/2013 - Received passport with Canada visitor visa (multiple) 3 years
Overall timelines were good for me. In all total time was of 22 days.
