Approved Online Visitor Visa: Passport Return Times

Hello Everyone,

I applied for an online Temporary Visitor visa and sent to CPC Ottawa from USA.

Application confirmed : Nov 28
Request for Passport : Nov 30
Passport Sent: December 3
Passport Received: December 4
Application update as visa counterfoil on December 10.

I have not received my passport yet or I don't see any tracking updates on shipment website. I am planning to travel on December 21 but unsure whether I will receive my passport or not. Does anyone what is the waiting time to recieve it.

Can someone please tell what to do, its been 8 days since my passport got delivered to them, for tourist visa, the return tracking has still not been activated. The online status shows approved and the counterfoil number was also displayed 2 days back. I am in Miami so cannot call the number as its only within Canada. Below is my timeline:

Online Application Date from Miami, FL - 14th November
Approved and Passport Request Date - 20th November
Passport Delivery date by FedEx to Ottawa Location - 22nd November
Counterfoil number shown online 28th November.

Trackint still not activated and no message from them.

Have you received tracking number??

Hi, I sent my passport to Los Angeles VAC and delivered on 20th Dec. can someone tell how long they take to send the passports back? I sent an over night return label of course.

Hi i submitted my passport to Ottawa location on December 24 . Tracking info show they received it. However i am still waiting for them to return . Is there any way i can check to see how long they will take .Thanks

I am not sure about Ottawa...My passport was received at New York on 7th of December and I am still waiting for my tracking number.

Thanks for the update. I just called Fedex. I mention to the girl my passport was ready yesterday as emailed received from CIC and i didnt see my tracker activated . she said she will schedule a pick up tomorrow for me sometimes they have to do that. I hope this help and the package is ready when they arrived.

Hi any news on your passport

I got my passport on 17th Jan. But in future I am not going to relay on Canada Post. Passport need to reach Toronto, ON but first they send it to Richmond, BC. Then I called them and followed up with them around 5 to 6 times then they delivered it. Went through very painful phase.

Anyone here submitted passport to VFS India? The website quotes that it has to be done in person. Wondering if we can send the passport via courier?
