Hi ! Just new in this kind of forum, just want to know if anyone understand why i only got 4 months (till april 1) of my work permit renewal while my LMIA is 2 yrs of validity, im on 4 years max, but the big question here is why my co worker has his workpermit renewed for 2 years till january 2017, we both have the same LMIA number and we both in 4 years max. (by the way our LMIA and NOC is skilled 7321) anyone knows? thanks!

1. Because whoever at Vegreville that processed your work permit followed the rules and gave you the time to take you to 4 years. While it appears that didn't happen to your co-worker.

@ PMM, Thanks bro! but how come it happens when my co worker work permit application was also processed at vegreville. (it was sent at the same address or visa office) the only difference between my co worker status and mine is that he never sent any application for a residency ever, while i have an application for residency dated October 31 2014 and by that time i have also my work permit renewal application which is pending on process (with no LMIA pending as well) but when i got the LMIA approved Nov 28, i found my credit card got charged for residency application cost. (1400 CAD). i thought my residency application is ok then Dec 26 I have recieved my new work permit which only valid till april 1 2015. (LMIA is 2yrs) then later a week Jan 5, 2015 i got the email rejection from CIC saying my application for residency is ineligible to process and got refunded with the same amount (1400 CAD). How come things went wrong? If i may not ligible to any CIC immigration program, I may still be ligible under alberta nomination (since i got red seal or journeyman ticket). Should i get the work permit for 2 yrs instead of april 1 2015 right? im in a limbo of nowhere now cause i sent an application to alberta nominee program but still didnt get any result yet. time is winding down :( what should i do? please help thanks!

1. Time to wind up your time in Canada, you don't have sufficient time to get a nomination from Alberta.
2. As to Vegreville, with hundreds of employees, it is doubtful that the same officer/clerk handled both your applications.
