Congratulations on your AIP! What does ECAS say when you login as the sponsor?

My ECAS say's my application is on process.
1.)They received July 19,2016.
2.) April 7, 2017 they sent me email requesting for my medical request letter.
3.) Medical result has been received.

My question is "How many more months to hear the final decision?"

Ok, so on the sponsor side, you should see "decision made" (this means the sponsor was approved) and on the principal applicant side you might see "in process" or "decision made". When you will see "decision made" on the principal applicant, that will mean that you are waiting for a landing appointment. Now regarding your timeline question, that's difficult to answer as it is highly variable. There a spreadsheet for inland applicants on which people share their timeline and there are some statistics compiled in that file. About 30% of people gets decision made within 2 weeks from AIP, others get it, on average, about 60 days after AIP. It is very likely that if you did not get your decision made yet, that's because they haven't finished your security checks (different from simple background checks).
Depending on your location in Canada, you will land 2-8 weeks after you will see decision made on the principal applicant side.
There is a thread specifically for people that applied inland in 2016, you might want to visit the thread.

Thank You Sylvain1 for the response..

I still haven't get any updates on my application since I received the AIP August 3, 2017. Yes under sponsor ECAS its decision made "approved" and the applicant has the same "In-process". My open work permit will expires on October 18, 2017 and I am thinking to extend it while I been waiting for the final decision. Do you think they will give me refund if I received the decision on my PR soon?

refer to the spreadsheet on my signature. we are in the same timeline. please also put your information there so we can see the trend and figure out how long the process is going to take.

also, we have a JULY APPLICANT thread and Whatsup chat if you want to join that. just post in that thread and people will answer you.

Hey guys, I’m late January applicant of inland family sponsorship, I got e-mail 22 November from IRCC that met eligibility requirements, same time my refugee case was done negatively, and had interview with border service agent, and gave me 60 days until something hear from CPC Mississaga.
Today got call from border service agent and told me that I got AIP so I can continue live in Canada
Does it mean that something good going on or still will be required interview
