Those photos are great!...Our application was as big as yours.

Instead of folders We used sheet protectors so they could see whats inside and also label all by putting on a sticker outside each of them describing if it was Sponsor´s documents, Applicant´s documents, Proof of relationship, which was divided by Development of Relationship, Engagement, Marriage, Honeymoon and Maintaining contact, each of them in a different sheet protector. All together in a big one pocket "expanding wallet" (i believe they are called like that)

Anyways...Its too bad I didnt took any photos of the application, it would have been nice to have them for the posterity..oh well...
:)

i like idea of making photos of file before sending. in case if DHL courier loses it u can prove to court that u send it

I am so glad that I posted off our application before seeing some of these pictures or I would have been so paranoid we hadn't sent enough, but the half inch of papers, did fine for us.

makes me feel better :)

Haha well so far Love_Young and I are in a league of our own. I already sent it off, so let's hope I didn't over-do it! :)

Haha nyssa it does seem to be that way doesn't it.
Maybe I should have listened to my husband when he told me I was over obsessing. I just didn't want anything left to chance. I really hope I didn't over do it for us either. Lol. Though I guess my perspective was to send everything and anything possible that relates to us so that I won't worry later that I didn't send enough.

I didn't have enough ink or time to scan EVERY page. But all the supporting documents I still have and can make copies later if needed. I also still have all the additional sheets of answers saved as well as my pictures put in the Word document. I did however make hard copies of the actual application forms, proof of payment, etc. I figured it was more important to have at least hard copies of the actual application rather than additional supporting documents. I can always make copies of those things again.

I mostly took a picture because I was proud of myself and it was hard letting it go. I also posted it to Facebook so my friends and family would be able to better understand why I was going crazy and be able to see for themselves, you don't just marry and become a citizen. Lol.

I only sent the application papers. and the suporting document like pictures (20 wedding pictures thats it). my option c passport copies.

all questions answers were done on the same page. i did not even use any additional papers to make more details.

my envelope was really small and light cost me 6 dollars to post it to CIC-M

no wonder why applications takes forewever and applicants have to wait becuuse poor Imigration officers have to go through these kinds of piles every day for hundereds of applications. and poor people have to wait in their countires

So...the fact that I read all the documentation thoroughly, put a lot of effort into making sure that my application is thorough, detailed and descriptive somehow is to blame for the delays at the CIC?

Bollix to that, thank you mate.

Not really - it would just eb a photo of a file of papers, no? Plus, to prove that DHL lost your exat file, or the exact missing paper, you would need to give DHL an itemised list of contents, fpr them to check over etc.

Not really gonna happen, i'd say...

If you just sent photocopies, you'll get nothing back. If you sent orginals that appear to be irrreplaceable, you may get them back or you may not. There seems to be no pattern to who gets their stuff back, but sometimes people do.

Wow, this will really help, thanks for the pics!
