I want to apply for an Electrical Engineering Technician course in Canada. The course I've selected has two Apprentice Placements. I'll be working and studying at the same time due to these two placements. Does anyone know if I can do everything on my student visa? Or does this course require me to apply for any other vias?

I was looking into the coop visa but this is an apprenticeship and does not count as a coop. Please let me know what are my options here.

As to my knowledge, apprentice placements do count as a co-op. You need coop work permit in order to work more than 20hrs/week. Even work integrated learning requires a coop wp (my uni told me)

Thanks, do I need to apply for a coop permit to participate in the apprenticeship program?

Most likely yes. Clarify with your uni whether it is a coop and if it is required to take in order to graduate
