Guys ! i have a job right now which falls under the category of CEC my question is what is the difference between a person applying for Express entry with a job and a person applying under express entry without a job (except the fact that they will get points for canadian work experience) i mean do you get points for having a job too or not? . :'( :'( Thanks in Advance Guys!

It depends.. If you have an LMIA for your job you can get 600 points for it. If not, then the job offer doesn't fetch you any points.

Thanks for the reply , so what is the point of creating a Job bank account ? , sounds stupid but can you ask your employer to create a job bank profile for employers and then select you from there or something? ???

There is more to it than merely posting the job in the job bank. LMIA process is a rather tedious and long process. If you want your employer to go the LMIA route, search the cic website for LMIA process.

yeah i wanted to know if my current employer can make a profile as an Employer in JOB BANK and select me from the JOB BANK pool . :'(

Receiving an LMIA is completely independent of job bank. There is no benefit for your PR application in getting selected on job bank if your employer does not also apply for an LMIA for you.

Get educated about the LMIA requirements - there is lots of information online.

Thanks for the reply and yes i am aware of the LMIA requirements and that it is a complete different process but i've heard that if you get an actual job offer through JOB BANK then you get 600 additional points is that right?

does anybody have any information on JOB Bank (for Employers not for EE candidate ) i.e if and how they can sign into JOB Bank.?

The job needs to be posted under the job bank:

employer.jobbank.gc.ca/employer/

(for some reason I cannot post links)
