Applying visitor visa to accompany us to Canada

Hi Everyone,

I would like to apply my mother for a tourist visa in canada to accompany me & my 2 kids to canada. She applied before for tourist visa but had been refused twice. My question are as follows:

1. Which is easier apply online or by person?
2. She would stay for 1 month in canada how much show money she needs? Because when we applied her last December reason for her visa refusal is insufficient fund whereas she showed bank certificte worth cad20,000 for 6 months stay. Is it ok to show bank certificate only or it should be bank statement? She also show business certificate, and property.
3. is it accompanying us to canada is a valid reason to put in the invitation letter?
4. Do I need to notarized the invitation letter and add affidavit of support?
5. My mother doesnt have work here in the Philippines but she has a small business here. How can we prove that she will comeback here?

20K CAD on her own account? Statement is always prefered.

Yes

Only if it is required in the checklist. Each VPC has its own requirements. Please check on the VPC website.

Proof of buisness ownership (records of property, taxes payed, employee referrals, etc.)

If she has already been refused twice - don't ask for a six month stay. Ask for 2-3 weeks.

Recommended is 1000 CAD per week after accomodations.

Scylla is correct, should be 2-3 weeks, 1 month would be fine too but 2-3 weeks would give better chances.

Is 3 months bank statement is enough for her to show? In our part, we are low income family and this is just our 2nd year as a PErmanent resident. How much money we need to show? We will be providing her accomodation and food. She will be the one to provide for her airfare.

Your family's financial status is not too important it is HER financial status CIC is most interested in.

She will be the one to provide for her airfare.

Yes, 3 months is enough.

Better to check with the local VPO, requirements can vary. Some ask for 4 months and some also ask for 6 months of statements.
