Hi
I am new to this form.
I am 6 hrs away from LA and I would like to apply canada visitor visa.
Can i go to LA office directly and apply directly with all the forms and fee. Are they going to give me the same day or I need to give my passport and they will be sending my mail letter after couple of days.
Thanks for your help

1. No, LA doesn't accept walkins, you can either apply on line or by mail to the VAC. http://can-am.gc.ca/visas/apply-how_la_demande-comment.aspx?lang=eng

PMM's link shows that YOU CAN'T APPLY DIRECTLY.

Online: YES - Means online (so it is not directly)
Through the VAC in LA: YES - VAC is not the embassy nor a consulate... it is third party which will submit your application for a fee (so it is not directly).
Mail: NO

I would recomend that you do it online, the VAC is basically going to do the same, and it will take longer.
