Applying TRV online within canada after BOWP - Need help

I am a bit confused which forms is to be used to file for TRV online . Aftre answering the questions i am asked to fill IMM5708E . However i have read somewhere that for extension of TRV IMM5257. I wish to apply for TRV online within canada after my BOWP approval .

Its IMM5257. Login to your MyCIC account and then click on application for study,work and visitor link. You will be asked to fill a questionnaire to check the eligibility. Once you are eligible, it will prompt you to the page where you will find the list of documents to be uploaded.

what did u choose for current country of residence.

If your applying as a visitor to extend your stay, then you fill IMM5708 form. You already has the work permit so you will be filling IMM5257.

i changed my answers and now i am being asked to fill
Application for Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa) Made outside of canada (IMM5257) .. but i am applying inside canada..

and for spouse it is asking to fill IMM5708

Is this ok??

I am also planning to apply for trv with pgwp. i filled the online questionnaire and I am also asked to fill IMM5257 so I think it is right. However, I dont have any idea about spouse form...

Hi All,

Yesterday got my BOWP Approved.

To apply for Visa myself (IMM5257E.pdf ) and my spouse (IMM5708E.pdf) forms are correct or not. We are in canada only.

Please help me....

No worries cecsur. When I applied for Work Visa extension, my form was also the one "Outside Canada".
As additional, I attached an "Explanation letter", in which I explained that the online system gave me the form for "Outside" Canada, while I'm living inside the country. But this letter is not mandatory, it was just on my own.

So you are good to go

hi i wanted to know what answers to change for application of visitor visa inside canada??

For me it comes 5708 form only, I know i have to fill 5257 but it doesnt let me after the online questionnaire..

Hi,

Its correct form IMM5257E, even you are inside Canada, I applied for TRV in first week of May within Canada after got OWP. But waiting for CIC reply

I am having the same issue. After answering the questions my form comes correctly (IMM5257E) but my spouse come as (IMM5708E) which is wrong.

I am thinking about applying on paper or distinct online applications.. anyone got around this? Is it possible to apply for both TRV online at same time?

I am not able to add spouse name when I apply for TRV ..
