Apologies for this. I was misinformed.

Yup there is no limit for the entry to Canada as long as it is within study permit duration.

You don't have to apologize. You are correct.

You must enter Canada on/before the date mentioned on the top line of TRV. Its not a date by which you must 'leave' Canada. If you don't enter by then, apply again for visa.

Yes but we are talking about a student permit here and mnot TRV..
And fyi every studen permit is valid for 2 years, if due to unavoidable circumstances you don"t travel as soon as ur visa come, u can always differ ur intake.

1. From your country of residence, you get TRV (not SP), then you enter Canada & get SP at port. If you defer your intake or decide to travel later on, you must apply again for TRV (if its expired). If your TRV is valid for 1-2 years, it does not mean you can enter Canada anytime, you must make your first entry with in the stipulated time as mentioned on your TRV.

As per the original schedule, there is an entrance test on Aug 25 that I need to take. They were insisting on me reaching Canada by Aug 11/12 initially. However, I have been taking extensions from them every 7-8 days. Yesterday night, again I wrote to them to allow me to enter Canada by Aug 25 and reschedule the test to Aug 28/29. They haven't replied yet. I guess they got tired of giving me these extensions! ;) ;) ;)
