Hi All,

I am confused with some questions in mind.

I have applied to Sep 2021 intake and is expecting the final acceptance letter next week. However, I have applied for a loan as a mean to support my financial needs but the loan is taking some time to be sanctioned. As per bank officials, the loan will be sanctioned in next 1-1.5 month, would it be any issue if I apply for study permit 2 months after receipt of acceptance letter?

I don't think it will be an issue. I once got an acceptance letter in May and applied in July since I was gathering some documents as long as you accept the admission offer before you apply.

thanks for the replies.
what would happen if the course start date approaches and yet my visa is in process?(currently SDS applicants are seeing 5-6 months processing time, for Non-SDS applicants like me, we can only hope it would be around 6 months) that would make me miss the start date of my program.

P.S deferment is not an option per my college. for any new semester, i will need to re-apply.

Let's hope it won't happen, or you can hope to get AIP then you can start your classes as you await the final decisions. But, if deferment is not an option, I deeply regret to say that, you will have to reapply. If you get a visa, then later get LOA, notify the IRCC of any changes.
