Hi,

I am looking at applying to Universities in Canada for Masters in Architecture. I have just received my permanent residency and I am looking at applying to universities from my home country, before I land in Canada. Has anyone done this before? I need some guidance and advice on how to go about this and what is the best way to pursue this.

Many thanks in advance

Whatever you do, keep in mind that if you are doing your education outside of Canada, you still need to meet RO for your PR. If you don’t, studying isn’t generally accepted as a suitable reason for not meeting the RO and you may loose your permenent residence.

What is RO? I did not understand your point.

Think Bluetruck misread your post and didn't realize you want to attend university in Canada.

Find a university you want to attend. Apply. Hope to get accepted.

You'll be charged domestic rates.

hi guys, I also wanted to pursue my study in Canada. But i did not sit for academic IELTS. I am also going to Canada as a PR. So should I sit for IELTS or I can go for masters without Academic IELTS? For your information, I have done my bachelor from outside of Canada.

It depends on the specific school and program requirements as to whether you will need to sit for the academic IELTS. Check with the school you plan to attend to see their requirements.
