Applying to extend work permit without employment ID number (LMIA exempt)

Hi,
According to new recent CIC policy, employment ID number to be included in the work permit application. Due to some reasons getting employment ID no from my office is delaying.So can i submit the my work permit application to CIC without ID number now? I will inform ID no to CIC later. My work permit is expiring in 15 days. Kindly suggest me.

Why is it delaying ? Getting the ID number is instant immediately your employer submits the offer letter to the CIC office there. You must include the Offer ID numkber with your work permit application.
