Applying spouse sponsorship while studying + owp

Hello guys,

I am going to apply for inland sponsorship and I would like to switch from study to work. I read that while I am applying for sponsorship I can put the application for OWP in the same envelope as my PR application and obtaining the OWP take around 3 months.

I am going to quit of my study program, I realized that it was not what I liked.

My question is, while I am applying for the PR and OWP at the same time, could I still have the 20 hour per week, as my study permit said?

You need to remain in school full time if you want to continue to work 20 hours per week. If you drop out of school but continue working, you'll be in violation of the conditions of your study permit and this might end up negatively impacting the OWP process. Stay in school until you have the OWP.

I see, thanks for your answer, you're completely right.

Now, if I don't want to work and I just quit of my studies, could I have some troubles applying for the sponsorship?

I mean, CIC could think that I am applying just for getting the work permit, right? In that case, what should I better do?
