After availing the study permit extension for a duration of extra 1.3 year, I applied for my new TRV on July 16 from inside Canada. During TRV, I added my wife's OWP application and since then it has been 48 days that I did not get any response. Even the new TRV processing time is 10 days and I am not sure why my application is taking so long to process. I inquired CIC call centre and they said my application has been sent to New York office and they can not do anything about it. The response from IRCC web form was the same. So my questions are:
1. What can I do other than waiting to expedite the things?
2. What are the chances that my wife would get a positive response, given that her TRV was rejected four times with a failed judicial review on 4th application?
3. If I travel any other country while my TRV is being processed, can I send my passport back to Canada for the Visa stamp or should I send it to the respective VAC in the travelling country?
I need to visit my home country urgently and I have purchased a ticket already. Now I am confused what should be my next step.
