I have completed B.Tech in CS in India and worked there for 3 years. Then I did my Masters in CS from British Columbia from 2013 Fall to 2015 Fall. I have moved to Ontario now. Here I worked for two month in a company Full-Time position and then left it. Now I am working full-time temporary from last 6 months. When should I apply for PR. After completing one year in this new job OR I can count previous 2 months as my Canadian experience. There was a break of 20 days between the 2 jobs?

My IELTS score L-8.5 R-8 W-6.5 and S-6.5 and NOC-A

I am also planning to get married soon. Should I get PR first and then marry or I will have better chance if I apply with my spouse (She is in India and worked there for couple of years).

CEC requires you to work in Canada full time for a continuous year. If you plan to give your spouse the PR anyways, I would say apply together to get it at the same time.

Also don't forget about your ECA, and your spouse's as well!!

Best of luck!

No, this is not correct. It does not have to be continuous, only cumulative (within 3 years of applying).

Pandey013, you can combine the two jobs. Do not apply before you have completed a full 52 weeks of work experience.

As for your pending marriage - it is MUCH easier to get PR together, than for one to get PR and wait a year or two for your spouse...

You'll have to update your profile after tomorrow (Nov 19), though, so you can see your new points and relative rank under the new point system.

Hi omarimam,

Also don't forget about your ECA, and your spouse's as well!! Why would that be mandatory? I am getting just 9 points for my spouse B.Tech degree and I have done Masters from here so i won't need ECA for my B.Tech I think because I will be getting Masters point anyways. Please respond
