Applying PR for the first time ; international student

Hi ,

I am an international student , my program is of 12 months only and will be starting my grad classes this September here in Canada.
When can i apply for PR?
What are the criterion which i need to complete up to get PR smoothly ?
What is most recommended in these things ?

You will have to find an immigration class you qualify under. Usually that would be after graduating with a job offer and sometimes even after having worked a certain number of hours.

Your best bet is applying for an off campus work permit right away after 6 months and as soon as you get it, start working part time up to 20 hrs. a week. Try to find an employer who will employ you after your graduation and who wants to keep you permanently.

When you graduate, apply for a post-grad permit.

Look at the PNP in your province if you can apply under there. Otherwise, you may have an option under skilled worker if you have prior skilled work experience or if you manage to work in a skilled position in Canada for a year full time, you could apply under CEC.
