Hi,
I am an H1-B holder (I-797 approval till sep 2007 but not stamped in passport) in USA, planning to file for Canadian PR at Buffalo. The checklist document says:
"If you live in a country different from your nationality include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live"
Here are my details:
- H1-B I-797 approval with new I-94 Valid till Sep 2007 (not stamped in passport since I havent left US after switching to H1 sponser last yr. I was on L1 Visa while working for previous employer).
- L1 Visa (STAMPED in Passport) expired in Oct 2005. It was valid from Dec 2004 to Oct 2005, previous I-94 was valid till Dec 2007.
My Question is:
Given that Canadian consulate would accept my application only if I have min. one yr left on Visa, should I attach photocopies of:
1. I-797 approval ONLY (with I-94 valid till Sep 2007)
OR
2. I-797 approval + Expired L1-Visa + Old I-94 copy
Someone pls reply... since I dont have much time left and need to do something soon
Thanks
PK
