Applying Open WorkPermit while having a valid closed workpermit and PR inprocess

Hello,

I'm currently in Canada as a temporary Worker with a closed work permit valid until end of 2016.
I've also submitted my Express Entry PR application and received by AOR a week back.

Now my question is that, can i apply for an open work permit in order to change my job?

You can't apply for an open work permit now since your current work permit is still valid for more than four months. You will be able to apply for a BOWP once your work permit's remaining validity is four months or less.

I received my AINP approval and applied for PR on 24th December,2015 but I didn't received AOR yet. Now my current open work permit is going to be expire on 20 march, 2016.
Can I apply for open work permit extension?

Hi tiger144,

You can apply for open work permit extension if you get the File No. before your current work permit expires. At least that's how it was when I was applying.
