Applying Online

Hi Everyone,

I am a Canadian citizen and my boyfriend is Mexican, we've been living in Cancun for the last year and a half and we want to visit Canada together. We'll be staying with my family when we visit but my parents won't give him a letter of invitation - long story. I've heard that applying through VAC online is really fast, like 1-2 weeks for your answer. But I'm assuming that doesn't include the time it takes for them to receive your application?

Can you apply online, like can I scan all of the documents and send them via email or do they need to see the originals? Is this possible, does anyone know? Your help would be GREATLY GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi there,

Well it took about 2 weeks for them to complete the application and we should get our answer this Monday, fingers are crossed so I'll let you know!!

Awesome!! We sent ours on July.6th and should hear back this coming week as well! My boyfriend is also Mexican and I'm Canada and want to visit my family We live in Puerto Vallarta!
