APPLYING ONLINE - OPEN WORK PERMIT

Good morning all - I've sponsored my husband via inland family class he has had two open work permits since 2014. His second permit is expiring soon and we need to renew the permit while we continue to wait (our MP is involved now and according to the MP CIC has told them we should be getting decision made status by early April) nonetheless we still need to reapply for the work permit. We've let go of our lawyer cause he was useless to be honest, but now we are struggling with how to go about applying for the work permit. If I try online it sends us through this whole questionnaire to see if my husband "would qualify" for a work permit but that's not what we need. If we mail in the application its 117 days to process and there isn't an option to pay at the bank and send in the receipt like we use to.

Anyone know how to apply online? or how to go about it?

If you want to apply online, you need to fill out the questionnaire.

If you choose to mail the app, he can continue to work on Implied Status while the app is processed. You need to pay the fees online and print the receipt.

Thank you! I did the questionaire online and it wasn't really geared to our situation. So we will mail it and pay the fee online. Is it just the extension fee of $155 or the extension fee plus owp holder fee for $100 as well?

Not sure what you mean. The questionaire takes you to IMM5710, the work permit extension app, which is what you need.

You need to pay $255.

When does his current work permit expire?
