Applying online for WP extenstion from the US

Hey guys,

I am currently visiting NYC for 2 weeks. I live and work in Canada as I have a work permit which will expire in July 30th. (My TRV will expire in November 20th).
Is it possible for me to apply online for extension of my work permit while I'm here in the US ?

I have already saved an application form on MyCIC but I didn't submit it yet.
I tried contacting the Call center in Canada, but it's not accepting calls from outside Canada.

Good question. You won't know until you try. But why not just wait until you get back to Canada? You have more than a month before your current permit expires and you're only going to be in the US for two weeks.

Just wait until you get back into the country. I very much doubt it, but there is the slightest chance that they log the location of the IP address.

Thanks guys for the advise !..

...But I took the risks and submit it... I contacted the call center.. and told them what I did !....they were unsure on what to say...but later they said it's fine as long as you have your valid work permit when you enter Canada !!
