Applying online and signatures on forms like imm5532e

Hello,

when applying ONLINE for spousal sponsorship ( using the online portal ), how do I sign the forms which I am supposed to edit and upload ?

Do I have to print , sign and scan the PDF forms and then upload ?

I can't type my name and the name of the sponsor in the fields of imm5532e for example. In this form both applicant AND sponsor must sign.

This is one of the worst-explained parts of the process and even when it was all physical (hard copies) people got confused because the same forms are used for fully electronic and paper apps.

I don't have a good answer, except this: if in doubt at all, print, sign and scan. (If sigs needed from sponsor and app, two separate signed pages are I beleive fine).

I'm not defending their approach but if they expect a 'real' signature and all you've done is type, it creates big problems. Better safe than sorry.
