Hi Experts ,

My employer has applied my ICT visa last year and my passport got stamped with ICT worker visa in oct 2k22 which will be valid for 2 years I.e 2k24.
Somehow I left the same employer due to low compensation and working with different employer based in India.

Is there any possibility if I can able to use this ICT visa with different employer?

Second question is that if I still want to go with worker ICT visa my new employer has to process all things again for me ?

Is there any chances if IRCC reject the new application ( worker ICT ) only based on the fact that why you didn't go with previous employer and now processing new application with new employer or will they treat this new application as fresh new as previous was ultimately approved ?

Hi hphemu04,

It's important to understand the terms and conditions of your Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) visa before you make any changes to your employment situation.

Using your ICT visa with a different employer: The ICT visa is specifically tied to the employer that sponsored you for the visa. Therefore, you generally cannot use the same visa to work for a different employer. If you change employers, you'll likely need to apply for a new work permit based on the new employer's sponsorship.

New ICT visa with a different employer: If you want to work in Canada with a new employer through the ICT program, your new employer will need to start the application process again. They will need to demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria for the ICT program, including the qualifying relationship between the foreign company and the Canadian entity.

Chances of rejection for the new ICT application: IRCC will evaluate your new ICT application based on its merit and the information provided by your new employer. While your previous application's approval may show that you have experience working in a multinational company, the new application will be assessed independently. The fact that you didn't go with your previous employer should not be the sole reason for rejecting the new application, as long as your new employer meets the eligibility criteria and provides all the required information.
