Hi,

For people working and applying from US, you must be aware of the delay in visa approvals from USCIS. I am working on the 240 day rule since my extension is applied but still waiting on a decision.

Even though technically you are allowed to work on 240 day rule but the i94 has expired. How do you justify your stay in USA without current I 94?

I am having this issue. Did anyone else come across this?

Need Urgent help on this.

Hi guys,

Has anyone had this issue?
I am also applying from US. What is your current status? Nonetheless, Technically, if your file is being processed from USCIS you are a legal alien. I think you can just tell them what your are doing right now. Say, waiting for your visa approval.

Yes that is the plan. But just wanted to check if anyone else has been through this as well. As you know till you get approval you have no document in hand even though you are legally working except the implied status.

If you are still working then, I think your employers reference letter will suffice to show that you are legally working in the states.
But I am not sure about if you have to maintain that for the 6 months PR processing time.

When you apply for an extension, you should have been issued a receipt notice by USCIS - the receipt notice is sufficient to maintain legal status while a petition for extension is pending/being adjudicated.

Yes people working in US are aware that you can work on receipt notice. You, your employer, employer's immigration team know it. But I need to word it well to convey this point CIC that I am here on what Canada calls - Implied Status. Thus asking around if someone has successfully provided this and got PPR.
