Hi all, I have just received the reply from CIC that my application has been transferred to Sydney, Aus. Does it mean something positive?

How much did it take for you and how much time it took for you to obtain result or result to be delivered to CIC by agency ?

Hi there,
I did biometrics at VFS Melbourne. Sorry I forgot how much it cost but i believe the fee is available on their website. The results for me and my spouse are very quick. It was like I submitted on Fri, it was reflected the next two days in the system.

I have a Representative taking care of the case who is based in India and he suggested in raising a webform and ordering GCMS after the 6 months mark.

Do you have any update? did you raise webform? I raised it twice, the first one was so generic and the sec one stated that my file was sent to Syd here. I assume it is a big move as my application wasn't touch since Apr and still with CIO as my July GCMS.

They write back with another standard reply saying,’your application is in queue for assessment’. However, I hope you get something positive. All the best!

If you have already paid your bio fees then you don’t have to pay anything ( I think its CAD 170). Book your appointment with VFS. Just take your passport and printed Biometrics request page on the day of your appointment. Reach on time or as advised on your vfs booking confirmation. The whole process for me and my spouse took less than 30 mins as there were nobody ahead of us when we went for ours!

The result will be updated in 2 days and sometimes 3 in case there are public holidays in between. Also, they will give you a confirmation no. After your Biometrics to update on your application/profile.

Oh, no! May be your application is close to being finalised and that’s why they didn’t bother to reply?
Another applicant who wrote to them recently has already received a reply! May be wait and follow it up with them next week?

I reckon there’s only one officer who is sitting with all our files!!
