Applying from another contry?

Good day.
My name is Ansrii. I have some questions about applying for immigration to Canada.
1. I'm a citizen of Ukraine, but I live in US more than year and a half. Applying as a Ukrainian should I leave US?
2. I have a degree of teacher of English and German languages after 5 years of university in Ukraine. Can I apply as a skillful worker?
3. How long does the process take?
4. If I stay in US the whole time before immigration to Canada and I loose my legal status ( I curently have H2B working visa here and I don't know if I will be able to extend it) does it effect my immigration process?
5. Can I move to Canada before I get documents? Is that possible to get a working permit?

Answer #1: Yes you can.
Answer # 2: Check list of professions on Official web site of CIC.
Answer #3: No gurantee. It will take year or more.
Answer #4: You must have a legal status at the time of interview. If no sure, apply from home land.
Answer #5: You cannot move to Canada. You can only visit Canada.
Answer # 5b: You can try.
