Hi everyone, just a quick question,

I completed all the Permanent resident application process and just waiting for the result right now and thinking I would get the PR visa by end of this year.

Meanwhile, I am still in Canada as a post-graduate work visa, and was wondering if I still need to extend my work permit as my current visa expires by the end of this year. So I am thinking I will apply for another work visa to extend my visa duration for now and wait for the PR to come. (Im working full time)

Does this make sense? please advice!

Well yes, if your work permit is about to expire (validity of 4 months or less) you can apply for a bridge open work permit.

Thanks DelPiero07 (I like football too btw), so my work permit is valid til Dec 31th so I have approx 5 months left for my visa, should I wait until september so that I have less than 4month left for the current visa? and the application process is the same as Post Graduate work permit right? Thank you!

Yes...With your current work permit having 4 months or less validity you can apply for Bridge Open work permit(BOWP). It is always a good idea to keep your legal status in Canada always active.
