Applying for work visa while processing PR

Hi all,
My husband is sponsoring me while I'm inside Canada and the IRCC issued my work permit when I sent it in as a package with the sponsorship application. Currently I don't have a visa that allows me to re-enter Canada if I decided to travel internationally. Is it possible to apply for a work visa while my PR is currently being processed, or would that mess up with my current sponsorship application?

Hi dear, I think that a work visa can only be applies when you have a valid job offer. If you wanna re-enter, a new visitor visa is a better choice. Could I know that how long have you been waiting for your work permit? I sent my OPW with the PR application as well, and now already wait for two months.

You can apply for a TRV but note that with an inland application, you are not supposed to leave Canada. If you are refused re-entry, your PR app would be considered abandoned. If you do decide to leave Canada, ensure that you have a valid TRV before you leave.
