applying for vistor visa

Im on a IEC working visa and I can not re apply until my visa is nearly up so I was told I need to apply for TRV visa as I can not be in canada with no status..
question is I went online to apply and it said if applying from within canada I can only mail the application is thus true or can I do it online?

A TRV doesn't grant you a status by itself.

I think you are confused on the steps to follow.

Please research on the difference between TRV and Visitor Status and what do you need/want.
