Applying for visitor Visa while on SOWP

Hello,

My wife just finished her master's in Canada and I am now on an Spousal Open Work Permit. Our status ends in two months from now.
She will be applying for her Post Graduation Work Permit and I will be applying for my visitor visa. so I have two questions:

1- Should we apply together, or she can apply now and I can wait for some other time before my permit ends?
2- If we applied today and got my visitor visa after a month, can I still work till the end of my work permit or I have to stop immediately?

You should just change your status online to visitor right before your WP expires unless your spouse already has a job and will be able to provide 3 paystubs so you can also apply for OWP with her PGWP and receive implied status.

Thanks for the reply.

The problem is she cannot have a job before at least applying for a PGWP and thus I cannot apply immediately for the OWP.
I need to go through the process of changing to visitor visa, but the question is if I can do it alone ( meaning after she applies for PGWP and before my OWP ends)
 
Hi,
My wife has applied SOWP since March 2020 but file is in interview queue. Due to COVID-19, She is not getting any reply regarding interview. Can she applied visitor visa?
