Hey Guys,
I currently work in Canada on a post-grad work permit and I'm applying for an extension to my visa that expired earlier this month. Since i'm travelling in approx 2-3 weeks, I was considering taking a day off work and applying in person at the embassy in Buffalo to hopefully recieve the visa the same day and be back in Canada within 24 hours.
I already have a U.S. Visa and have no issues going there, however - i'm weary of NOT getting the visa on the same day as this would leave me stuck in Buffalo for as long as it takes me to get my visa.
I'm on a Pakistani passport right now and know that there is a mandatory 10 day wait period however I was wondering, does this period apply to someone already working in Canada and has applied (and has been approved) for a visa twice in the past?
I realize it all likely boils down to a case by case basis but was wondering if anyone has any light to shed on this.
I would really appreciate any help here.
