Hi forumers, just want to ask if I can possibly get a US Visa because my employer wants me to go with them for a vacation in Florida in summer 2012. Any links that will lead me on how to get a US Visa. And btw my re-entry visa is already expired. Do I have to apply re-entry visa first or US Visa. Thanks a lot.

Honeysweetie,

Where do you live?

BTW, you stated that your employer wants you to go with them to Florida (I wish I could have employers like yours). 8)

Have you had a U.S. Visa before? or first timer?

Hi,

Please try this link.

http://canada.usembassy.gov/consulates/toronto.html

All non-immigrant visa applicants at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto are seen by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling 647-955-3736 (if calling from greater Toronto area) or 877-341-2441 (if calling from elsewhere in Canada and the United States). Applicants are only required to pay the necessary visa fees when scheduling an appointment.

Please note that there are no service fees or toll charges assessed for accessing the online or telephone services beyond standard applicable data and phone fees. An online visa application must be completed and required visa application fees must be paid before an appointment can be scheduled. Please note that visa application fees are non-refundable regardless of whether you keep your appointment or not or if your application is subsequently denied.

Visas are generally delivered by DHL courier service within 3-5 business days of the interview. For current visa processing wait times, please click here.

You have a great chance at getting approved. Nannies I know have multiple entry visas because of the help of their employers. Get a letter from your employer to support your application.

Got you message thanks for the info. Anyways, yes I'm still working with my employer. I guess I have to apply for a re-entry Visa to come back to canada if given a chance that I get a US visa and travel to. I have a valid working permit until April 2013. So I think I have to apply a re-entry visa first before applying a US visa. Do you think it's too early to apply a multiple re-entry visa considering that my employer's plans to travel outside canada is not until summer 2012? DO you think Canadian Embassy in Buffalo will issue a re-entry visa that co-terminus to my WORK PERMIT validity? Thanks.

it is advisable that you have a valid TRV for Canada so that that you can leave and not worry that you'll have problem coming back, so applying for the TRV now is not too early. Normally the TRV is set co-terminus with the WP or the passport which ever has the shorter validity.

Hi guys I have hard time downloading the Application kit for re-entry visa application thru Buffalo website. When I'm trying to click the form IMM5257 this come's out

"To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html"

I already downloaded the adobe newer version but still can't. I also tried opening thru Safari and Firefox but to no avail.

Have you tried downloading the pdf file and opening it? You can actually request a copy (I think).

BTW my friend just got USA visitor visa approved yesterday. She said it very easy and not take long time. They will mail passpost with visa back within 3 days. I wish canadian visa as fast like that!!! BUT NOT. Anyway she lived in USA before so I think it's easy for her to get visa to visit again.
