Applying for TRV

Hi,
I have a WP and my TRV has expired. My WP is valid till late 2022. I want to apply for a TRV. I tried that and I found that in the documents needed was a letter of reference from my employers of past.

You must provide proof of work experience for your current job and for each past position you listed. Proof must include a reference letter from your employer and pay stubs, if you have them. The reference letter must:

• be an official document printed on company letterhead
• include your name, the company's contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the signature of your immediate
• show all positions held while employed at the company
• include these details: job title, duties/responsibilities, job status (if current job), the dates you worked for the company, the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.

You must scan all documents for this period of employment and save them as one file. (You must create a separate file for each period of employment.

Does it mean I need to get my employer's reference letters for a simple TRV???? Whats going on?

It won’t require a reference letter for TRV. I just applied a week ago and the application went well. Maybe you made a wrong selection while selecting answers to Apply to Canada wizard.

Okay. From your profile, it seems you are in Canada, right? So your case will be similar to mine. I am in Canada as well.

Hi everyone,

I am in canada working with a closed work permit.
In march i have submitted my application for my visa because it expired.
I still did not get an answer regarding my application for the VISA (the processing times are now 7 months FOR VISA from inside canada).

Now I am in the process of applying for the change of conditions for the existing work permit as i will change my current occupation with the same employer.
My question is regarding the current application of the VISA. Because now i will have a new work permit and the visa process is sent with the existing work permit, what should i do about the visa application which is still in process ? do you guys have any idea ?
