Sorry if this has been asked before, feel free to point me to relevant threads if so.

My wife and I had our first child a few months ago and my brother- and sister-in-law want to apply for TRV visit her, since we are not planning to travel overseas with her until she's a bit older. We were preparing their application just before the borders were closed, and now we're not sure if there's any point applying until the borders are reopened. They wanted to arrive in July and stay for a few weeks. Is there any information on how long the borders are closed? I've only seen 30 days for the US/Canada border. I would rather wait to apply than risk having the application returned or denied for being non-essential travel.

Thanks

If the situation in the United States doesn’t improve , the government won’t take a chance and open up the borders just because it’s 30 days

Thanks. I should have been more clear, they will be applying from South Asia (Bangladesh). I was inquiring if there is a date for when borders will tentatively be open to international travelers, or if it's indefinite.

The date right now is June 30, 2020. Of course that might change.
