Applying for TRV and confused...

Hey Guys,

I am trying to apply for TRV online application and Step 8 says:

" Once you have entered your personal checklist code, you will be guided through the following steps to complete your application:

Upload your documents
Review your application
Pay with a credit card
Submit your application​ "

It only talks about uploading the documents... How do I send my Passport to CIC for Visa Stamping?

Also, does anyone know approximate processing time?

Processing time is on the CIC web site (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp) seems like it is around 14 days.

Once you submit application online, CIC will process and approve the application. You will be requested to mail passport at that stage.

SO I apply online first and then wait for CIC to request for passport?

How will they contact me to request passport? Email/Phone?

Complete process will take 14 days? or just the online application/approval?

How soon will I get the passport back ?

They will send you email to with instructions on how to send passport. I've personally never applied online (always used the paper application method). I wouldn't trust processing times completely though - it really depends on case basis. Good luck!

You will receive a letter as an attachment in your mycic account, requesting you to send your passport. You are required to print that letter and send it along with your passport to the address mentioned on the letter.
