Hi,
The title sounds pretty regular but my issue is a little confusing. I want to invite my father from India on a Super Visa.
My parents got divorced back in 2005-06 and after the divorce my father changed his name to what it was before marriage - lets just call him Sanjay, he had changed it at the time of the marriage- lets just call him Salman - yes to a muslim name)
My birth certificate has his name as Salman, he has no supporting legal documents by that name. His passport goes by Sanjay, voters ID, etc.
If I need to call him to Canada, our names don't match at all. I have a Muslim name and he has a different name - Sanjay Singh.
My question is HOW can I apply for him when our names don't match? There is no proof of him having the name salman - except on my birth certificate or on my parents Islamic marriage document (nikah-namaah)
