Yes - you should expect that your chances of approval will be reduced since you plan to take your three children with you. CIC may also wonder how you plan to manage to study full time and also take care of three kids. I take it your husband is not coming with you?

You'll want to make sure your proof of funds is very strong. How much are you planning on showing? The 2 year old will need to be placed in day care - which is very expensive. On top of your tuition fees and living expenses, I recommend you be able to show another $10,000 to $15,000 to cover day care costs.

What ties to your home country are you planning on showing?

Depending on where you want to study your costs will be quite high with 3 children. The cost for daycare for just your 2 year old in a few cities would be $1200-1800/month. I also suspect there will be some strong concerns you will not be able to study full-time with 3 young children without a partner in the country and there might be better options in your home country.

Hi.
I assume.
Your tuition. $15,000 per year
4 year old tuition $10,000 per year depending on school board you reside in.
6 year old tuition $10,000 per year
2 year old day care $14,400 per year (12*$1200)
4 year old day care $?
6 year old day care $?
Rent $18,000 per year (12*$1,500)
Food, clothing, etc. $6000 per year
I'm using low numbers.
I'm up to $74,000 per year. 3 years about $225,000.

If you plan to stay here or lay down roots your better going through the PNP program through PEI or Prince Edward Island. You pay a $150,000 deposit. You will have to invest $100,000 when your here. You get residency then after a year you get permanent residence. You don't have to stay in PEI because the Canadian Charter of Rights provides freedom of movement within Canada. If you don't stay in PEI and don't invest $100,000 you will lose your $150,000 deposit but you will get your Canadian citizenship. Free education for you and your 3 kids. Free healthcare for your whole family. Free medicine for your children. Unfortunately daycare is not yet free. Good luck!

Guessing that she would likely file for student visas for the children as well but school days often end at around 3pm so before school or after school childcare might be needed. $1200 for rent won't cover rent in most places. You may need a car, car seats, etc. I think you may be underestimating your costs. Mostly I think there will be concerns that a single parents of 3 young children will have difficulty studying full-time successfully without a large support system. Also there will also be concerns whether you are a genuine student.

I agree with you Canuck. I have no kids so I didn't factor in the extra support that is needed. I said I was going low on my estimates. There will be a lot of unfactored costs that any family can run into. Medical insurance? About $2000 each per year for just dental, glasses, and prescription drugs. I'm self employed. That doesn't include doctor and hospital fees for you and your children. I'm just trying to say even if they miraculously approve you, this is almost impossible to do because of costs, the workload of school, and raising 3 children. You have a better shot if you hire a live in nanny that's $2,500 per month, $29,000 per year. You will need a place for the nanny so double the rent to $2400 per month for a larger place. Are you trying to bridge to Canadian citizenship through the international student program? If so it's easier through the PNP route. Everything I've said is legal, the PEI government said flat out they will keep the deposit and grant the citizenship. Just google it in the news section.

You can go through the Quebec government. You lend them $500,000 for 10 years interest free and your in. You don't have to wait the 10 years. You can come here as soon as you pay them. Most people in this program end up in Vancouver or Toronto as soon as they land in Montreal and get their papers.
