So I'm from the states (u.s citizen), 20 years old and I've been in Canada since February and living with my fiance. I applied to a school in Canada and got in for this fall, I have already paid my tuition fees. Prior to my six months expiring, I applied to extend my visitors status at the end of July. I thought I'd be able to extend my visitor status and then apply for my student visa from within Canada. I found out I'm not eligible to do so and because classes start in only a few weeks I can't apply fromwithin the states. I plan to leave Toronto later this week, get my paperwork from my bank and letters from my parents back home in the states, and then fly into Toronto and apply for my student visa and work permit at p.o.e (my bachelor program is co-op). I have a few questions;
a) I do not have 10,000 cad in my account. However, while I've been up here my parents have been sending money to my bank account in increments ranging from 80 usd to 800 or so every week, normally around 130 or so though. Basically, my parents are going to continue to send me cash while I'm at school. If I got a written letter from them as well as bank statements from my accounts and theirs would that be okay?
b) is it going to be a problem that I'm staying with my fiance? I was thinking of bringing a copy of the lease which has her name on it and a letter from her saying I'd be staying with her. She's also a student and is paying for the apartment with cash her parents saved up for her schooling, would I have to provide her bank account information as well or should bringing the lease and a letter explaining be fine?
c) will it be a problem seeing as how I applied to extend my visitor's visa before I left? If I explain the whole thing to the immigration officers do you think they'll have an issue with any of it? I have visited Canada twice before this visit but I only stayed a few days the first time and the second visit was for 3 weeks. There isn't much on the books about how much time you should wait before trying to re-enter the country.

1) You need to show a bank balance that contains $10K + any first year tuition fees you haven't paid yet. If you don't have this money, they you will need to show your parents' bank account with at least this much money (preferably more) along with a letter from them confirming they are supporting your studies.
2) I wouldn't do this - might create questions about your true purposes for being in Canada given how much time you've already spent here. CIC wants to see that you and/or your parents have the money to fully support your studies in Canada.
3) It shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't explain anything unless asked.

Thank you so much for responding! So basically I should just bring what's required and not worry about anything else. I guess my main concern now is my fiance,it's likely they're going to ask where I'll be staying. Will just saying "with my fiance" be enough to rouse suspicion? I want to be as honest as possible without volunteering too much info if that makes sense.
