applying for spouse visa

Hi

I am from Pakistan. I got my admission offer from a Canadian university. Then I applied for visa and got my Student Visa. At the time of applying, my marital status was single. But now I got married after I have already received my visa.
Now I need to apply for my spouse's visa to accompany me to Canada. My spouse is residing in UAE.
What process should I follow to apply for my spouse's visa? Should he apply himself directly from UAE to join me later? Should I inform CHC about my changed marital status and re-apply?

1. Your spouse can apply for TRV and show marriage certificate as proof of marriage. If the VO is satisfied from your ties and financials etc then your spouse will be issued TRV which will be valid till the validity of your SP.

2. You don't have to reapply.

Should my spouse apply from the embassy in UAE or will he be needing to submit his documents at CHC Pakistan?
Also, can he apply for an open work permit from there?

1. If he has been lawfully admitted to UAE, then he can apply for his visa to CHC-UAE.
2. Yes, he can apply for OWP from here but usually it takes more time than TRV. If he applies for OWP Once he is in Canada, then the result will be quicker.
